Finding Articles to Post on Your Website or Blog

As a website or blog owner, you know that on the web, quality content is mandatory these days, especially for the search engines. And of course your readers, who always come first!

You must have articles to publish on your website or blog, and even more articles for your newsletter or ezine, reports or even an ebook that you plan to sell. Plus, you need content in order to do article marketing. Eeek… that’s a lot of content to create! I’m sure you have better things to do than be tied to your computer all day and night, writing yourself into a frenzy. I know I do. Luckily, I have some ideas to help you save time and money in the process.

First, let’s look at why you need content…

Search engines love content. The more quality content that you have on your website, the better. Google loves it, so keep adding more “real estate” to your website by adding pages of great content.

Great content adds value to those who visit your website. When people come to a website that offers a lot of value, they’re much more likely to tell others about it, link to the site themselves, talk about it on forums, Digg it, and come back frequently to see what’s new that they can use.

Providing quality content establishes you as an expert in whatever your chosen field or niche. The more value you provide to your readers, the more they begin to look at you as their main information source. You may start receiving requests for interviews and joint ventures as your arsenal of information grows.

So, how do you get content for your site? Basically, when looking for content, you have a few options.

1. Write the content yourself. This is, of course, is the option that most “do it yourself” publishers choose and there’s nothing wrong with it. However, it can be time consuming and restrict freedom to develop other sources for business growth and marketing.

2. Hire a Ghostwriter. This is a great option. Simply go to a site like Elance.com, Guru.com or Shelancers.com and you’ll find many qualified writers willing to write content for your website. This is highly recommended for article marketing if you don’t want to write the articles yourself. Even if you receive the articles and then edit them to add your personality, you’ll save a lot of time and effort verses writing all of the content yourself.

3. Partner up. Go through your list of online buddies and ask a few to become columnists or guest experts for your website. They’ll benefit by getting the free advertising and exposure to your readers, and you’ll benefit by receiving additional UNIQUE content published “hands free” on your site.

4. Article Directories:  Popular article directories like Isnare.com, EzineArticles.com and FreeAffiliateArticles.com and the like, offer a variety of informative articles written by respected experts in a variety of fields. You may reprint these articles on your website as long as you include the author bio that is included at the end. See the bottom of this article for an example — mine.

5. Load up with Private Label Rights (PLR) . PLR content was created to fill a need that we, as internet marketers have — the ongoing need for quality content. When you purchase PLR articles, you have nearly 100% freedom to use them. You can edit the articles, modify them for your market, create viral reports from them, or even use them to write your first book. The problem is finding quality PLR articles. There is a lot of junk out there. In order to choose a quality PLR site, be sure to find one that has been around for awhile (not some fly-by-night site). Also, check that the articles have been professionally written and edited. Were the articles created specifically for that site or are they recycled from other PLR sites? Once you find a great PLR site, you’ll wish that you started sooner.

Now that you’re aware of some of the options to getting more content quickly, I hope you take advantage of these resources. It is possible to experience more freedom from your business and, at the same time, more profits. My wish for you is to work smarter, not harder — and watch your online business grow!
